Seattle in Two Days

If you ever want to conquer Seattle in two days, I highly recommend:

1. Traveling with Carl Meister, who is a darn good time, and,
2. Following this itinerary that Josh put together so we could make sure we saw everything.

Day 1
·       8:30 – Breakfast at Pike’s Place @ Lowell’s – Egg’s Benedict w/ Crab (DELISH)
o   1519 Pike Place, Seattle, WA

·       

10:00 – 11:00 Pike Place Walking Tour
o   Tours meet behind the information booth located on the corner of 1st Ave. and Pike St. Meet your tour guide under the awning between the pillars adorned with salmon
·       11:00 – 12:00 Walk Pike Place, take time to see things just passed by on tour

 First Starbucks


·       12:00 – 1:30 – Lunch @ Pink Door – Italian – View overlooking harbor
o   Make reservations – request to sit on deck
·       1:30 – 1:45 – Walk to Pioneer Square Underground Tour
·       2:00 – 3:30 – Underground Tour
o   608 First Ave, in Seattle’s Pioneer Square, between Cherry Street and Yesler Way
·       3:30 – 4:00 – Gift shop, walk to Seattle Aquarium
·       4:00 – 5:30 – Seattle Aquarium
o   1483 Alaskan Way, Pier 59, Seattle, WA 98101


·       6:00 – 7:00 – Olympic Sculpture Park
o   2901 Western Avenue, Seattle, WA 98121

·     
  7:00 – 8:00 – Space Needle
o   400 Broad St., Seattle, WA 98109
o   Get the VIP pass. Totally worth it to not stand in the long lines

·       8:30 – 10:00 – Dinner
o   Seastar  (Seafood)
o   2121 Terry Ave, Ste 108, (between Lenora St & Denny Way) , Seattle, WA 98121
·       
If done early before dinner at any point could do: Chihuly Garden & Glass at Seattle center
o   305 Harrison St, Seattle, WA 98109





Day 2
·       7:00: Arrive Westlake Station, walk west on Pine, left on 3rd Ave.
·       7:20: Take Bus to Hiram M Chitten Locks
o    3rd ave & Pike Street (inbetween Pike & Pine, right across form Aaron Brothers)
o   Take #17 towards Sunset Hill Ballard 
o   Get off at NW 54th St & 32ND Ave NW
·       8:00 – 8:50 – Hiram M Chitten Locks
o   3015 54th St NW, Seattle, WA 98107
o   Watch the fish ladder where salmon and steelhead migrate upriver

·       8:50 – Back up to main road and to “Lookout Spot Café,” light pole right after it is the #44 bus
·       9:07 – Take #44 bus towards University of Washington Medical Center Wallingford
o   Get off at Market and 8th St.
o   Walk back to 8th street, go south and see the #28 bus stop on the west side of the road across from the Shell Station, next bus comes in about 9 minutes
o   #28 will drop us off @ 34th & Freemont Street   
·       Freemont Area:
9:40 - Freemont Bridge

We loved the show The Killing, and this is in the show opening.

·       9:55: Waiting for the Interurban
·       10:10 Freemont Troll

·       10:25 Lenin

·       10:40 Freemont Rocket

·       12:00 Theo Chocolate
o   3400 Phinney Avenue North, Seattle, WA 98103

·       1:36 bus leaves
·       Walk back up Phininney Ave to N36th Street, get on #28 bus local towards downtown Seattle, all the way to 3rd Ave & Marion St., arrive around 2:05
·       Walk southwest on Marion until you hit Pier 52 for Bainbridge Ferry
·       3:00 – Leave for Bainbridge Island

·       3:35 – Arrive @ Bainbridge
o   Take taxi to Docs Marina Grill, 403 Madison Ave S
·       5:30 – Leave Bainbridge Island
·       6:05 – Arrive back in Seattle
o   Take Taxi to Safeco Field


·       6:20ish Arrival, 6:10 Game Start: Seattle / Texas Baseball Game @ Safeco Field
o   Food:
§  Intential WOK
§  Tortugas Voladuras
·       Brazed pork and chicken, Mexican Style
§  La Creperie
·       At the pen
§  Hamburg Plus Fritz
·       Located in the Pen by center field bullpen, Oyster Po Boy Sandwich, Fries with garlic dipping sauce
§  Sushi Bar
·       At hit it here café
§  Rice & Roll          
·       Ichiroll, Section 137
